All-night Eucharistic Adoration Event

August 17 - 18 in the church

This Friday, Adoration will be ongoing throughout the night. It will be an opportunity to pray for our parish, school, and other ministries, as well as our diocese and the Catholic Church, especially now in light of the current crisis, for holiness and that we would be faithful in spreading the Good News of our Life in Christ. If you are able to pray for an hour during the extended time (8:00 p.m. Friday through 7:30 a.m. Saturday), please use the link on our website or call the parish office to sign up. We would like to have at least two people for each hour. The north- east door will be used for access throughout the night of prayer.

"The importance of Eucharistic Adoration is shown in the fact that the Church has a ritual that regulates it: the Rite of Eucharistic Exposition and Benediction. This is an extension of the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which occurs in every Mass: "Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb." Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament flows from the sacrifice of the Mass and serves to deepen our hunger for Communion with Christ and the rest of the Church.  The Rite concludes with the ordained minister blessing the faithful with the Blessed Sacrament." (USCCB)

This all-night event will take place from 8pm on Friday August 17 to 7am on Saturday August 18. If you have any questions about this event, please call the office at (517) 482-4749 or email info@corlansing.org
