Easter Vigil (April 20)
Mass 8:30pm

Holy Saturday Night: The Easter Vigil

We spend the day on Holy Saturday in quiet silence and prayer on Saturday as we recall Christ lying in the tomb for us. That evening, we celebrate the Easter Vigil, which is the greatest Solemnity of the liturgical year. We will gather outside at dark, and begin the Solemn Vigil at 8:30 p.m. We will begin with the lighting of the fire that represents Christ’s triumph over death, and then process into the church, following the Paschal Candle. Christ is our Light, and we are enlightened by Him. If you have not attended an Easter Vigil, plan to come. It is a glorious celebration of the love of God and the power of Christ (and those baptized into Christ) over death. Come, let us worship!
