Let us let down our guard to let love in and let love out.
In today’s readings God seems to have an implacable thirst for blood. But he is not mean but merciful. God’s justice will come at the end of time for those who have chosen wrath. We deserve wrath, but he’s merciful. God offers us life. But many of us don’t come to Him for healing because we prefer to keep control and keep trying on our own. God has more for all of us. But it is an invitation, not a demand. We should ask ourselves how we are still guarding ourselves from the Lord’s invitation. Let us let down our guard to let love in and let love out.
St. Therese said when talking to a novice, that when the Lord sees our feeble efforts, he is moved to come and help us.
If anything bothers us too much or keeps us up at night, we need healing. Let’s repent, believe and ask the Lord to heal us.
