March 9: Second Saturday: pray for a return to the faith
Fr. Steve laments the fact that some of the parents of the children who attend our school do not go to Sunday Mass. Sunday Mass attendance is a duty of love and gratitude for all the things God has given us - at the very least, life and breath! The more we give, the more we receive.
How do we use our Sundays? Do we use it as a day re-creation, rather than when we simply do what we want?
Fr. Steve recommends our reading through Isaiah 58 for our own edification.
We should pray for those who have wandered from the faith, rather than shaming them into returning to Mass. If we seek our own healing, we will be able to love them more, rather than condemning them.
