Yielding our minds and hearts to the Holy Spirit
Fr. Steve talks about the outpouring of the Spirit that was experienced on week 5 of the Life in the Spirit Seminar. He also mentions the healing encounters and points out that for the last year and a half we have been praying for both an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and healing. Each of us has gifts given to us in Baptism for the building up of the body; some have gifts of healing.
He relates several testimonies of healing he has heard about recently: some physical healings, some inner healings. These are witnesses to the fact that God is powerful, that he is a healer. We need to have faith that he will heal us and keep on praying.
Lastly, he challenges us to leave behind the complacency of timidly eking out our lives trying to avoid upset and difficulty and instead yield our lives to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. This is the way to lead an exiting life!
