"Twelfth Night" is a celebration around the twelfth day of the Christmas season during Epiphanytide where we present an evening of songs, music and poetry meant to inspire and entertain in equal measure. The Twelfth Night has been a traditional celebration since before medieval times, particularly in Europe, and involves the consumption of abundant food and drink as well as performances to honor the birth of our Savior.
“Whitsun” is the old name for Pentecost and it has been a traditional cultural festival for centuries. The Whitsun Celebration at the Church of the Resurrection is an evening of entertainment in which various “acts” perform songs, music and poetry and it involves the consumption of abundant food and drink as well as performances to honor the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles on the day of Pentecost.
