Retreat Opportunities

There are a handful of opportunities for everyone at the parish to grow closer to our Lord in prayer & worship. Some of our popular retreats opportunities are described below. Check the calendar below for upcoming retreat opportunities.

HEALING THE WHOLE PERSON & UNDONE RETREATS

The Healing the Whole Person Retreats and the Undone Women's Retreat are offered periodically at the Church of the Resurrection through the John Paul II Healing Center. Experience Jesus in His mission of healing. Physical, spiritual and emotional healing, central to the Church’s life and 2,000 year tradition, come to life in these retreats. The uniquely engaging format will help you see and experience God’s healing love through teaching, prayer, personal reflection, adoration and the Sacraments. Teaching sessions during the Healing the Whole Person Retreat include topics on the following: Introduction to Healing the Whole Person, Facing our Brokenness, Encountering the Father’s Love, and Living in Freedom.

Church of the Resurrection staff member, Sean O’Neill, attended the Healing the Whole Person retreat, and had this to say about the Healing the Whole Person Retreat:

"In April of this year, my wife, Liz, and I attended a 'Healing the Whole Person' retreat in Ennis, Texas, given by Bob Schuchts and his team. Both of us received significant inner healing at this event and found that the talks delivered by Bob clarified and explained much of what he had written in his book, 'Be Healed.' I would go so far as to say that for me, the retreat was life-changing, as the message of healing and the prayer ministry during the sessions focused on wounds from my past that had been an obstacle to me."

"A number of those present told of the Lord’s healing touch in their lives. We were particularly moved by a testimony given by a young woman who had suffered from debilitating depression for most of her life and who experienced the Lord’s healing through prayer ministry, so that now the depression has evaporated and she can live a normal life. Many people also witnessed to physical healings that took place during the prayer sessions."

"Bob Schuchts’s view is that by healing the whole person, psychologically, physically, spiritually and emotionally, we become free to respond to God’s love in our lives and become holier – in other words, wholeness = holiness. This has been borne out by my own experience. After I received inner healing at that retreat, there was a wonderful breakthrough in my relationship with Jesus in a way that I had never known before and I felt the love of God in my life in a new way. Liz and I have found that the healing we received is continuing to bear fruit in our lives, long after the retreat finished."

"We are all broken in one way or another, so I would encourage anyone who is struggling with wounds, difficulties or sins from the past (or present) to sign up for the retreat."
