Tuition Assistance

There are a variety of ways that we work with families to make Catholic education fit into their budget. For further information about tuition assistance, please email Melanie Ford, our tuition clerk, at [email protected].

Monthly Billing

For those families who need to spread the cost of a year’s education out over a period of months, we offer a 10 month payment plan at no extra charge. Families make monthly payments from August to May to cover the cost of their child’s education.

"Payment in Full" Discount

For families who would like to make a payment in full at the beginning of the year, we offer a 7% discount up to a maximum of $200.00. Many families who are planning for their tuition costs will set aside funds so that they can make one payment at the beginning of the year and receive this discount.

Scrip Program

Our Scrip program is very popular at Resurrection School. Scrip is a gift card sales program where families purchase gift cards to everyday retailers and earn rebates to offset the cost of tuition. To participate in Scrip, anyone (not just school families) can buy a physical gift card at our in-person sale at school or online. Gift certificates are available for popular grocery chains, restaurants, gas stations, mall stores, theatres and many other locations. Vendors, in return, give back a percentage of the price of the gift card as an account credit. Our Resurrection School scrip coordinator applies your Scrip account credit to your desired location, towards tuition, for example. Most families apply their credits toward their tuition payment. There are some who donate their credits to other families. The credits can also be applied to a general school fund. Some groups in our parish have their own account as well, like the Knights of Columbus.

We send out the dates that we will be having in-person sales on School Speak. If you are new to Scrip, please review the following document, Scrip Sign-up Instructions, and watch this helpful YouTube video. If you are going to shop, why not shop with a gift card that benefits our school! Many of our families save hundreds of dollars each year by utilizing this program. Contact Melanie Ford at [email protected] if you questions about the program.

Scholarship Assistance

For those families who have more limited resources, there are scholarships available, both from the Diocese of Lansing, as well as from Resurrection School. Please note that all scholarships are based on demonstrated need.

Interested families need to apply for scholarships in early Spring, usually by March 1st, and submit an online application or send in a paper application to FACTS by the deadline. There is a fee to apply. You must send in copies of your previous year’s tax return, W-2s, and any other year-end statements which document the aid you may already be receiveing from the State or Federal governments (food and rent assistance, disability, social security, etc.).

For further information on how to apply, please email Melanie Ford, our tuition clerk, at [email protected].
