I was born and grew up in Texas, but moved to Michigan when I was given the gift from God of a religious vocation to the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. After my initial years of formation, I attended Eastern Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a major in Mathematics. Ongoing study is a important part of the Dominican charism---and essential for a teacher---so the past few years I have been taking summer classes at the University of Southern Mississippi and just this past summer completed my Master's Degree in Science Education.
As a member of my religious community, I have had the opportunity to teach in a number of Catholic schools around the country, and have enjoyed the privilege of meeting countless wonderful people. I was excited to be able to join the faculty at Resurrection School and to share in their mission of helping to form young men and women to be faithful disciples of Christ. It has been a blessing to be able to teach mathematics and science to the middle school students and I look forward to a great year!
